  • Open your Internet Explorer, as QB recommends, and uses IE as the default explorer, now click on ‘Internet Options’ in the tools
  • Under the internet option, look for ‘security’ and click on it
  • Now you have to check the security level by visiting the IE icon
  • now, find and select the content option
  • go the the ‘Advanced tab’ and click settings
  • Use the ‘QuickBooks TLS 1.2’ and ‘TLS 1.1
  • close the window now by clicking OK
  • Now reboot your system and then open QuickBooks
  • in order to complete the process, download QuickBooks Payroll updates again

In case the error is caused due to Local Area Settings (LAN)

  • Click on your start menu
  • Go to settings and select ‘Internet Options’ setup
  • Click next and select the ‘Advanced connection settings’ tab
  • Click on the ‘LAN settings’ present inside the ‘Connections’ tab
  • checkmark automatically detect setting box
  • now under the ‘Proxy server section’ uncheck the checkbox and click on ok and end it.
